Theta Labs is a full-service web agency headquartered in Louisville, KY. We’ve built websites and web applications from scratch since 2003, with a focus on completely custom e-commerce experiences.

We have clients all over the world, but primarily in the United States and Canada. Several of our clients are based in New York City; we like to fly over to NYC a few times a year to visit them all face to face.

Choose Your Path: Employee or Freelancer?

Option One: Join As An Employee

  • Part-Time (10-20 hours weekly) or Full-Time (30-40 hours weekly)
  • Starting Pay $10/hr (expect $12/hr after 6 months, $15-$20/hr after 1 year, $25-$30/hr after 3 years)

Option Two: Join As A Freelancer

Pros:
  • No Minimum Hour Requirement (Work as little or as much as you are able)
  • Higher Base Pay ($15/hr starting pay; typical pay after 1 year experience: $20-$25/hr)
Cons:
  • Variable Workflow, Variable Income
  • Higher Taxes (Self-Employment Tax is 15.3%. As an employee, your employer pays half.)
